Meet Ariel...
Music has been a lifelong passion, cultivated at a young age by my father and mother, both classical and jazz musicians. I am a versatile musician, professionally singing in classical, jazz, singer-songwriter, and musical theater settings.
Currently, the Chorus Director of the Music in the Mountains Chorus, I and have also served as a faculty member at Fullerton College and the Young Americans College of Performing Arts, where I conducted choirs and taught voice, songwriting, and piano. I was also the Vocal Director at Canyon High School in Anaheim for seven years. Throughout my career, I have had the fortune of teaching students from diverse backgrounds and age groups in classroom, studio, and private settings. |
My teaching philosophy is centered on inclusion and empowerment, inviting students to overcome limiting beliefs about themselves and their abilities. I am passionate about guiding singers to use their voices freely with sustainable vocal health. In addition to vocal training, I utilize skills from my studies in Alexander Technique, Craniosacral Therapy, Trauma Work, and Reiki for Self-Compassion and Somatic Work. I help individuals regulate their nervous systems and heal inner beliefs that limit their ability to use their authentic voice. A strong advocate for inclusive teaching practices, I strive to create a trusting and joyful singing environment. When I'm not immersed in teaching or performing, you'll likely find me on adventures with my wonderful family – my husband, our two children, and our furry companions. |
