LessonsStyles Classical, Jazz, Pop, Musical Theater, Folk, Singer-songwriter Private Voice Lessons Private lessons provide an enjoyable space for individuals to grow exponentially in their level of singing, confidence, and music literacy. My approach encourages a positive relationship to the voice, advancement as a singer, and sustainable vocal technique. Students can also grow in their understanding of music theory, stage presence, confidence, audition preparation, character development, nervous system regulation, mindfulness, stylization, and music leadership. Group Coaching I offer vocal coaching for bands and vocal groups that want to perfect their harmony, blend, balance, singing techniques, and stylizing. I also offer group lessons to students who are new to voice lessons and would prefer to take lessons along with a friend or sibling. Songwriting Sessions I work with individuals at all levels of the songwriting process: developing a melody, chord progression, rhythm, tempo, stylization, theme, and lyrics. I adapt my approach to each student’s needs, whether it is to guide every step of the songwriting process or give guidance only on specific elements. Workshops Workshops are offered throughout the year for specializations in stylizing, audition preparation, stage presence, music theory, song circles, vocal harmony, conducting, and songwriting. Conducting Whether you are new to conducting or are an experienced conductor, I work with directors on helpful exercises, score study, conducting gesture, expression, clarity, and effective rehearsal technique. Singing Circles Singing Circles offer a tender and joyful space for individuals to sing in community. Folks who join singing circles tend to feel safe, connected to their voice, and free to release judgements about their voice expression. While I do guide and lead the songs, I don't focus on vocal technique like I would in a voice lesson. I offer singing circles in groups of at least three. Ukulele & Guitar Lessons are offered for individuals and groups of students in ukulele and guitar. Students can learn these instruments individually or as accompaniments for their singing. I teach beginner-intermediate levels. |
